Desert Blooms

Gentle rains saturate parched ground,

unquenchable thirst, unrealised in drought.

Refreshing rain drenches a sun scorched soul,

broken crevices allow healing waters in.

This love overwhelming, fully satisfied

yet longing for more,

an overflow.

In the desert, wild flowers bloom.
