Poetry

Lines

Lines
Distinguish between the two,
What really separates us?

Imaginary boundary
Illusion of safety,
Control.

We walk fine lines
Disputing fact and fiction
Arguing not loving.
Divided.

We walk fine lines of illusion
Thinking we are in control
When we’re not.
We never were.

Lines, where worlds collide
Grace and mercy meet
Divinity embraced humanity
And became one

Two lines
One vertical
One horizontal
Repaired the greatest divide
